Carson Dunlop & Associates is a consulting engineering firm specializing in residential and commercial inspection. We are the largest private home inspection firm in North America. Over the last 30 years, Carson Dunlop has defined itself as the leader in the Home Inspection Industry. Originally designed to help train our own home inspectors, the Illustrated Home Book has also been used for marketing purposes for related professions. Most Illustrated Home Book users, like Home Inspectors, include the images in the reports in an effort the clearly communicate the defects of a home to their clients.

            Designed by a Professional Engineer, the objective was to support fellow inspectors with visual aids to our training program, so they can understand how defects in the home originate. After a year of development, the Illustrated Home Book was born.

            Our company is made up of four divisions Residential Inspection, Commercial Inspection, Reporting Writing Systems and Education. The Illustrated Home Book is involved in all of these divisions as marketing and training aids, but is also used in our owns reports to clearly communicate defects of the home to our customers.

            It is our objective to provide high quality illustrations and images to related professions to improve on the overall understanding of Residential Construction and Engineering in the marketplace.
